About

Hi! My name is Ashley.

For 13 years, I worked in the hospitality industry. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mass Communications and Journalism. I have yet to use it but praise God, all of my student loans are paid off!

I met the most fascinating man on March 13, 2013 who became my best friend. Not long after, he then became my beloved husband on January 23, 2015. Since that holy day in our life I have stepped into new roles of Alex’s wife and Klo’s Step-Mom.

We are on a journey of faith together. This family God has blessed me with is growing. I am pregnant with a cartwheeling baby girl! This tiny dancer being woven in my womb is expected to grace us with her precious presence at the end of May, early June 2017.

Alex and I are very close to our parents and siblings. Our immediate family consists of 13, soon to be 14 people! They are all loving, unique and creative individuals.

Last year, 2016 I attended Bible Study Fellowship, for the first time. Our study was Revelation. At the end of the year, I was asked to be a Children’s Leader. Me? A children’s leader? No thank you. Well, here I am now. Finishing up the year and the study of John. I know I am now exactly where I am supposed to be and it’s funny how much I love it. God does have a sense of humor, indeed! I have learned so much from my sold out for God, fellow female leaders. I have learned so much from these little children and I believe it has been for my own preparations for Motherhood and spiritual growth.

Jesus has really moved in my life. Every day, I continue to discover what it means to rest in Him, wait on Him and serve Him. My trust in Him is growing. I know it is for His glory and my good.

These roles are still so fresh for me. Wife and mom certainly feel like a roller coaster sometimes. I never ride roller coasters. I puke on roller coasters! There is beauty in the challenges. The sweet moments are worth it. Both make me better. I want to be more. More for The Lord, my husband and children and my family. Surprisingly such peace is flowing through the simple truth that I can’t do it on my own. I need Jesus daily for energy, strength, love, patience…Everything.

“He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it.”  (1 Thessalonians 5:24)

There is this passion

and desire within me, to write. I have been led to this place. To learn about the craft of writing. I want to work with my hands and use words and worship. To be honest, I have no idea what I am doing. I just know I have to. Fear and complacency have both showed up more than I have. Parts of me feel like I have already failed. There is a truth I need to hold on to though. The truth I believe we all need to hear and believe is a promise found in Ephesians;

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Seeking the quiet moments, I want to experience life and press down with my pen on paper or into these keys. To share my life in this speckle of space, my walk of faith while encouraging you. Shine brightly, wherever you are. This is the desire of my heart. To glorify God and all He has done and record all the happenings in life along the way.

Thank you new friend for coming along with me. I would love to hear more about your journey too!

Ash.
